According to Alzheimers research UK, by 2050 (internationally) people living with dementia will increase from 50 million (in 2018) to 152 million.

These statistics are significant people suffering with dementia have very complex needs, one quarter of hospital beds are occupied by over 65’s living with Dementia. About UsSafetyHome Trainings Dementia Awareness course is designed to help promote the significance of Dementia awareness and how to deal with it effectively.

Our Dementia Choking Prevention AwarenessAwareness training is targeted at Dementia (in health and social care settings). You will leave this course with a clear understanding of  Dementia and how to manage it effectively, receiving a greater awareness of sensitive issues surrounding Dementia. Our course can be used as an introduction to the subject area or as an excellent refresher to maintain or update exsiisting knowledge

Safety Training is working with other organisations in Yorkshire to raise dementia awareness through Training. Each of our courses is approximately three hours, with a maximum group of twelve students, which allows each person attending will have the opportunity to refine their knowledge in order to become an asset in the workplace.
